Changing

I took this shot shortly before the world went into lockdown in March of 2020.

This location and the surrounding area has an almost otherworldly feel to it, yet it’s no more than 20 miles as the crow flies to two of Englands largest northern cities, Leeds and Manchester.

I spent around an hour up at this point just watching the clouds roll over rapidly as they did on this day, waiting for a moment for the light to be just right. I got a brief interlude of the sun just poking through the clouds and grabbed several shots. Little did I know that this would be the last photograph I would take for several months with the sudden change in our lives that was about to come.
