Streak

Prague’s iconic trams, weaving their way through the city’s historic streets, are as integral to its character as the breathtaking architecture that adorns its skyline. No photographer’s visit to Prague would be complete without capturing these charming vehicles in action.

I was particularly drawn to the idea of photographing a tram as it gracefully rounded a corner and entered the picturesque square beneath the majestic St. Nicholas Church. The scene begged to be captured at night, when the tram’s lights would create vibrant streaks of light against the dark backdrop, adding a sense of movement and energy to the composition.

With this vision in mind, I carefully set up my camera, adjusting the settings to achieve the desired effect. Several trams passed by, but none quite captured the essence of the scene I had imagined. Finally, a tram approached, its headlights illuminating the cobblestone streets and casting a warm glow on the surrounding buildings. As it rounded the corner, I pressed the shutter, capturing the tram’s graceful arc and the mesmerizing streaks of light trailing behind it.

The resulting image surpassed my expectations, perfectly encapsulating the timeless beauty of Prague and the dynamic energy of its iconic trams.
