Inner Peace
Janet’s Foss is undeniably stunning, but its popularity makes it a challenge to capture without the distraction of crowds. Determined to get a clean shot, I set my alarm for an ungodly hour, arriving before the first rays of sunlight even touched the forest canopy. The 4 AM wake-up call was worth it. The falls were mine alone, the only sounds the gentle rush of water and the chattering of birds. I took my time composing the shot, emphasizing the lush moss-covered rocks and fallen logs that frame the cascade. The soft morning light filtering through the leaves created a mythical atmosphere. It’s moments like these that make those early mornings worthwhile.
